Early Birthday Gift for Jase

We took Jase and Allyson to the Astros game on April 26th for an early 4th birthday present.  We got there an hour early so we had plenty of time to let the kids play beforehand.

We saw Mickey Mouse and had to take a pic with him!

Jase running the bases at Minute Maid Park - Squeeze Play!

Run Jase Run!!!

Ally wanted to do it too!
The kids really had a great time and burned some energy!

Notice the form? lol! Great job Jase!!

This was neat- water shot up out of a hole at home plate
and you tried to hit it. Jase enjoyed it!

Awe...does somebody have the pooch mouth?!?

We finally took our seats!!
Mommy and Allyson!

The whole fam before we left.  Ok, this was like the 15th picture we took!
It's hard to take a picture with one hand and get 4 people in it!
We left at the top of the 9th...Allyson was past ready to go.  When we left the Astros were losing, but on the way home we listened to the game and we pulled off the win!! Cardinals 5 Astros 6

What a great night we had...making memories!

Christ has Risen from the dead!!!

While we do Easter baskets every year, teaching our children about the one and only true Savior, Jesus Christ, is why we truly celebrate Easter every year.  And every day for that matter.  Without Jesus...we are nothing.  We feel so blessed to be able to share this with our children and raise them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Easter Baskets...trying to supplement books for candy!

Jase walked past the table like 5 times and didn't say a word.
Finally Ally saw it and just stood in awe!!

Cheese from my big girl!

There's my handsome boy!

Guess someone found fruit snacks in an egg!!

Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Eggs...those were in the community basket...
as in Mommy's basket! lol

Let's check in with Sister...still eating fruit snacks!

Good smile from Sis!

And a good smile from Boo! That's usually how it works!

Mrs. Ashley is going through the Resurrection Eggs with the children.
We have a set at home and really enjoyed opening an egg a night and building
on the resurrection story every night. Great family time!!

Passion...for Jesus

Shawn and I attended the Passion Conference in Fort Worth, TX the first weekend in April.  We help out with our college/young singles class at church and this was a conference geared towards 18-25 year olds.  IT WAS AWESOME!!! From the music to the speaking to the fellowship...blessed my soul.  I walked away from it definitely feeling challenged on many levels as a mother, scripture memorization, and commitment to His will.  Here are some pics from our adventure!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Well, we are all dressed in our green over here today! I tried to explain St. Patrick's Day to Jase and told him it was kind of a game, that if you do not wear green, then you will get pinched.  Not sure if he got it or not, but he's wearing green!!

Best one of them together...my little green machines! :)

Can she give some looks or what?!?!
And she's only 18 months! She's really a little sweetheart!

There's my pretty girl!!

The French Fam has been on the move!

These past few months have been busy for us.  Shawn has been to Brazil twice and is currently there.  We were talking about projects we want to do around the house the other day and he mentioned that he has only been home for 4 of the weekends this year...cuurraazee!! We sure do miss him!

Here are some things we have been up to lately:
  • 01.28.11 - I took the kids to the zoo by myself...yikes what was I thinking? I think I ended up pushing the stroller and carrying Ally most of the time.  Thank goodness it wasn't crowded!

Here are my Superheroes at the zoo!

  • 01.31.11 - Signed Jase up for soccer at the YMCA! He was so excited!!
  • 02.16-20.11 - Shawn and I went to Cabo, Mexico.  6 weeks prior Shawn and Jay (best friends of ours) surprised Michelle and I with a trip...I could not believe it! It was a short little get-away, but we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Just another day in paradise! :)

On the balcony of our room!

Best Friends in Mexico :)
  • 02.24.11 - Jase's first soccer practice!! He was sporting his Dynamo orange shorts and his Brazil soccer ball, courtesy of Daddy, of course!

  • 03.05.11 - Cousin Dylan's 1st birthday party!! The kids had a great time playing with Dylan and watching him eat his cake and open gifts!  He's such a cutie!! :)

  • 03.05.11 - Jase went to the Rockets game with Grandma and Grandpa French along with Aunt Kimberly, Uncle David, Seth and Coby (his BFF!).  Nanny saved the day and bought him two new shirts for the game...thank you Nanny!! :)  Jase even got to go on the court after the game and shoot a free throw! What a great experience for my sport fanatic!

All dressed up and ready to go!

Jase and Coby outside of the Toyota Center...LET'S GO ROCKETS!!

  • 03.07.11 - Shawn had emailed and told me that the Dynamo was scrimmaging San Jacinto Community College down at UH, so I thought great, Jase will love this!! So, we got all ready to go and headed down there.  Wait...I remember taking the kids to the zoo by myself about a month ago and it didn't really work out...nah, this will be different!  Haha...who was a I kidding?!? LOL! We were there for an hour (after a 25 minute restroom break) and Jase kept calling it the old Dynamo since they were playing on a practice track and field and we were sitting in metal bleachers! There were only 75-100 people there for this scrimmage and you definitely did not get the full game experience.  So, we packed it up and called it a day!  I tried at least!

  • 03.15.11 - Back to the Houston Zoo! This time we went with Michelle, Emily and Madeline! The weather was just beautiful...I am ready for it to be sunny all day long! We got to the zoo a little before 11:00 and it was PACKED! The main parking lot was full, so we had to park at the hosptial across the street, which wasn't so bad once we figured out what was going on.  The animals were out and about and the kids had a good time!
New baby giraffe, born 03.04.11 at 150 lbs and 6 feet 6 inches tall!
