Finn's first t-ball game

Finn had his first t-ball game last night! We are the Colorado Rockies and Shawn is the Head Coach and I'm the Team Mom! Gooooo team!

I snapped a quick shot of my two girls in the dugout before the game. I'm so thankful that my neighbor came up to the ballpark to watch Finn play, because she took Maebry the last half of the game for me! It wasn't too bad except when Mae came running after me on the field when I was getting a bat!! Thank you, Angela!
Prayer time before the game! Thank you Jesus for this day and the game!
We were home team, so we took the field first. Finn started the game out at Pitcher. Here is one of the plays he was involved in!
Our little slugger right before his first at bat. He was zoned in!
Finn's 1st at bat!
Finn played outfield during the second inning. What a stud!
Cheesin' in the dugout, ready to bat again!
Finn crushes the ball while practicing, so I think once he gets the flow of things, he will crush it during the game too. Super proud of him for making contact and I love watching him run down the base path!!
Great game Rockies! They do not keep score in 5U in this league, which is totally different than our home town in Deer Park. Those game 5U games were pretty competitive. But this game was super fun to watch, no one was worried about the scoreboard, the kids just got up there and hit!

Ok, this video is hilarious. Watch for the Red Sox player who made it into our parent tunnel. And then as he makes his way into the dugout he says, "We did it!" Priceless!!
Great game Coach Shawn!
Go Rockies! We are looking forward to this fall season!

Texans game

The night of Ally's birthday, we headed into Arlington to watch a little Texans football. It worked out that the Texans were playing the Cowboys. We got a babysitter for Finn & Maebry and took Jase and the birthday girl.
Mama & the birthday girl. Believe it or not, but Ally really enjoys live sports events. The pizza is always a favorite for her, but she likes the music and all the people.
Texans Family Selfie!
This is one of the many selfies from Ally I had on my phone that evening. She took all kinds of video too, it was quite comical.
Before we left we asked someone to take a quick picture of us. These usually do not work out, but I was happy to see that this one turned out nice. Go Texans and happy birthday, Ally!

Celebrating Allyson

On September 1st, Miss Allyson turned 7 years old. We had a fun and relaxed day at home. Years are flying by over here, y'all. I still remember starting my second year of teaching 5th grade and I was due any day with Allyson. I made it through the first week and finished Monday of week 2. I stayed late at school to tie up all the loose ends for my long-term sub {who happened to be my sister}. Tuesday, September 1st, 2009, I woke up early in the morning with cramps and contractions. I was a week late at this point and the plan was to induce that day, regardless. Well, this must have been Miss Allyson Kate's day, since she decided to make her arrival all on her own. I joke and say that she needed a little princess prep! {And Maebry too, as she was 9 days late!}
Allyson and Taya. Taya is not new, but Allyson has been including her lately! :-) The birthday banner is not new either. I made it 5 years for her Sesame Street birthday party. So glad I found it and it is in one piece.
Little Mae eating breakfast.
Finn & Ally helped make cupcakes after breakfast. I love that they like to be with me in the kitchen.
Allyson helped decorate the cupcakes and she loved them!
Mr. Finn loved the cupcakes!
This little video was the cutest ever. I love little Mae's personality; she makes us smile and laugh.
Watching Sister open up presents and read cards.
Between some friends and family she got quite a few Disney Princess dolls to play with. She loves playing with them these days. Happy birthday sweet Ally.
