Jase turns 4!!!

Wowsers!! My son is 4 years old!! Crazy! This little man is a ball full of energy and a dancing machine at that.  He woke up in a great mood on his birthday and we got dressed quick and headed out for some breakfast at Mornings Kolaches...his request.  He even picked out his own clothes...black shirt with orange shorts...two of his favorite colors (the other fav is red).  After breakfast Ally and I dropped him off at school and he had a super day there too!

In the car on his birthday, about to get some kolaches!

He is cool...and yes he knows it!! lol
Oh the faces!

There's my funny man!!

Sister was all buckled in and ready to eat too!

Enjoying his cheese kolache...yes, just cheese.
Since his birthday fell on a Thursday he had soccer practice that evening.  We planned for everyone to come over and do cupcakes and sing happy birthday after practice.  We had an even bigger surprise waiting for him...his new bike!! We bought it for Christmas, but then after looking at everything we realized that we may have went a little over board.  So, the bike was put up for 4 more months until his birthday.  Daddy picked out his new bike (orange and black) and Grandma and Grandpa French bought him his helmet (red).  Perfect!!  He was so surprised when he got home and could not wait to ride it.  We are excited for him to learn how to ride his bike!!

4th Birthday Gift!! Tony Hawk Bike!

And he sees it!!! WIN!!

So glad he loves it!! :)

Safety first! And the color works for him as well!

Jase and his first couple of pedals on his new bike!

Jase pedaling away as everyone looks on!

"I am doing it!"

And yes, he still rides this thing...he's had it for over 3 years!
My mom even bought Ally a "girl one" but she prefers his firetruck.

Happy birthday to Jase!!

The whole crew on this birthday evening.  Daddy was taking the pic.

She loved the cupcake as well!

Early Birthday Gift for Jase

We took Jase and Allyson to the Astros game on April 26th for an early 4th birthday present.  We got there an hour early so we had plenty of time to let the kids play beforehand.

We saw Mickey Mouse and had to take a pic with him!

Jase running the bases at Minute Maid Park - Squeeze Play!

Run Jase Run!!!

Ally wanted to do it too!
The kids really had a great time and burned some energy!

Notice the form? lol! Great job Jase!!

This was neat- water shot up out of a hole at home plate
and you tried to hit it. Jase enjoyed it!

Awe...does somebody have the pooch mouth?!?

We finally took our seats!!
Mommy and Allyson!

The whole fam before we left.  Ok, this was like the 15th picture we took!
It's hard to take a picture with one hand and get 4 people in it!
We left at the top of the 9th...Allyson was past ready to go.  When we left the Astros were losing, but on the way home we listened to the game and we pulled off the win!! Cardinals 5 Astros 6

What a great night we had...making memories!

Christ has Risen from the dead!!!

While we do Easter baskets every year, teaching our children about the one and only true Savior, Jesus Christ, is why we truly celebrate Easter every year.  And every day for that matter.  Without Jesus...we are nothing.  We feel so blessed to be able to share this with our children and raise them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Easter Baskets...trying to supplement books for candy!

Jase walked past the table like 5 times and didn't say a word.
Finally Ally saw it and just stood in awe!!

Cheese from my big girl!

There's my handsome boy!

Guess someone found fruit snacks in an egg!!

Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Eggs...those were in the community basket...
as in Mommy's basket! lol

Let's check in with Sister...still eating fruit snacks!

Good smile from Sis!

Mrs. Ashley is going through the Resurrection Eggs with the children.
We have a set at home and really enjoyed opening an egg a night and building

Passion...for Jesus

Shawn and I attended the Passion Conference in Fort Worth, TX the first weekend in April.  We help out with our college/young singles class at church and this was a conference geared towards 18-25 year olds.  IT WAS AWESOME!!! From the music to the speaking to the fellowship...blessed my soul.  I walked away from it definitely feeling challenged on many levels as a mother, scripture memorization, and commitment to His will.  Here are some pics from our adventure!
